Anxiety Therapy During Fertility and Family Building

Fertility-related anxiety is a heavy burden. Through targeted therapy, you will learn to regulate stress, calm repetitive worry, and navigate uncertainty with less distress.

Anxiety and Infertility

Infertility, pregnancy loss, and repeated treatment cycles are associated with elevated anxiety and depression. Unexplained infertility is often accompanied by intrusive, obsessive thoughts, and the uncertainty of treatment adds ongoing stress.

The relationship between stress and fertility is complex, but this much is clear: anxiety is manageable, and you deserve support in caring for your emotional well-being. I am Dr. Karen Hall, a clinical psychologist specializing in fertility and reproductive psychology.

Intrusive thoughts take over

Distress and worry creep in during work, quiet moments, and daily routines.

The "two-week wait" brings sheer panic

Every milestone, phone call, or lab result triggers intense dread.

“Hi Dr. Hall! I meant to message you sooner after the birth of our baby boy, but was just thinking about you and some of the key points we talked about in therapy. I’ve taken much of that into my first months of parenthood and returned to it time and time again… just wanted you to know our time together has been invaluable to ushering me into parenthood after infertility.”  Fertility Client 2023
